Drifting Images

Welcome to Drifting Images. Since I was a child I have been fascinated with driftwood. I love the feel, the smell and the look of it. I would walk the beaches of the San Jaun Islands as a child and find treasure upon treasure that had ended its journey on the beach. Today I can't walk the beach without seeing eyes, legs, ears, hoofs, etc. in the driftwood that jumps out from its resting place and ends up in my studio. When I am putting a sculpture together these same pieces jump out of the piles I have collected and into my hands guiding the shape and form of my sculpture, piece by piece. I absolutely love the magic of the muse when I step back from the piece and discover it as a finished product. "Finished?" These pieces are interactive art and continue to evolve over time. Visit the site again and look at a piece, it will change from the last time you saw it. Enjoy... and may my soul touch yours.

I will continue to update the site and describe the different pieces I am showing on the last page entitled, "New Pieces and Stories." When I finish a new piece I will feature it there.
